這禮拜的Ballet

這個禮拜在忙戶外的Houston Ballet演出，樂團有拉的部份只有一組Swan Lake (suppliment) Pas da deux, 跟Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini 整首包括24個變奏。



佩服平常替Ballet彈鋼琴的這位鋼琴手，不但全彈，而且還要顧及舞者的速度 (她的鋼琴上擺了一個monitor)，真是要有三隻眼加上三隻手的功力才行。



Houston Ballet will perform a mixed repertory program showcasing the breadth of the company's repertoire: from great classical showpieces like George Balanchine's Tchaikovsky Pas de deux to Solo, a contemporary tour-de-force for three male dancers by legendary Dutch choreographer Hans van Manen. The evening will also feature the best of ballet today, with two recent works by Stanton Welch: Mediaeval Baebes, a showcase for the company's women created in 2008, and Nosotros, a glamorous, romantic display of talent in a magical, star lit setting.





坐我旁邊的是一個有趣的女生，她剛念完Rice的碩士 (也是林伯伯的學生)，準備跟老公搬到Minnesota去。我們這兩天的練習，一有空就狂聊天，有相見恨晚的感覺，她叫我耶誕節去MN一定要去找她。



昨天早上的練習出了一件意外。剛開始一小時多時，首席豎笛突然跳起來揮手叫大家停下來：「Chester中風了，大家趕緊打911!」大家一時都反應不過來，再瞥見第二豎笛手Chester, 眼神空洞，臉部肌肉微微的偏斜，於是大家驚慌的停下來開始拿電話出來打。一幫人幫他把樂器放下，把他扶到練習室外頭 (還剛好有一個歌劇道具用的病床，剛好可以用)，救護車五分鐘就來了，大家心情都很沉重，所以休息了20分鐘。但一整天大家都一直在想這件事情。



不過聽說他昨天晚上可以拿著電話打給manager, 表示應該沒有太嚴重，希望他以後還可以繼續吹樂團.....



話說事發當時，我腦中出現一大堆曾經收過的轉寄email說到如何急救中風，結果，什麼都想不起來.....
